Social movements were gathered since last night in order to commemorate ten years since activists Maximiliano Kosteki and Darío Santillán were killed by the Buenos Aires province police.
Pueyrredón bridge was being blocked off this morning by social movements, to mark the tenth anniversary since activists Maximiliano Kosteki and Darío Santillán were killed by the Buenos Aires province police.
The bridge, which links the neighbourhood of Barracas with the district of Avellaneda, was being blocked off since midnight.
Highway authorities advised drivers to take alternative routes when coming into the Capital, suggesting the use of Victorino de la Plaza, Nicolás Avellaneda and Uriburu bridges and access via the Buenos Aires-La Plata motorway.
Kosteki and Santillán were killed by Buenos Aires province police during a social protest in 2002, while Eduardo Duhalde was in power.
