Transport tri-party entity agrees on creating ‘specialists committee’

The highest ranking transport officials in the National, provincial and City governments met for the first time on Wednesday in order to discuss common policies in the metropolitan areas and agreed to create a specialists committee in order to define “methodologies and goals.”

“We all agreed that it was a very positive meeting. We concluded that there’s a need to keep coordinating efforts in order to improve the public transportation system. We will keep working in order to come up with new proposals,” the National Government’s secretary of transport Alejandro Ramos said.

His Buenos Aires province counterpart Hugo Bilbao assured that during the meeting “all parts discussed every matter related to the transportation system,” and agreed to create “a specialist committee in order to help them focus on methodologies and goals”

Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo was present in the meeting for a few minutes, however he warned that the subway management transfer was off the table and that neither part would discuss the matter for now.
