President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner was leading a ceremony at the Government House this afternoon, in order to announce public housing hand-outs.
In a live television broadcast, the Head of State remarked that ‘there is no better legal security than having everyone abide by the law,’ referring to the application of the Media Law. “It’s time we all abided by the law,” she said.
Furthermore, with regard to the growth in the Argentine economy, Fernández de Kirchner said that “our growth keeps going up, like in a whirlwind.” Also, she stated, “I think now, we are capable of doing things we have never been able to do.”
During the ceremony, the President announced the handing over of public housing for members of the taxi driver’s union in Bahía Blanca and for residents of Villa Nueva (Córdoba) and those of La Banda (Santiago del Estero). In total, 260 houses were donated by the government for the taxi drivers union.
The charity organisation, Cáritas also benefitted from the public housing scheme, receiving housing donations from the government for the construction process taking place in the province of Córdoba.
