Internazionale’s captain Javier Zanetti came on stage to praise club’s most recent adquisition, Rodrigo Palacio, saying that he is aware of the qualities of the Genoa forward.
The former Banfield right-back’s statements came after Inter’s president Enrico Preziosi confirmed that Palacio will sign in after the two clubs agreed a deal for the 30-year-old striker.
Zanetti has no doubt that Palacio will be a quality asset to the side, having played alongside the Genoa man in the Argentina national team.
“He is someone I know well, we are talking about a terrific player,” ‘Pupi’ told Inter’s official website.
“He is not a player who has just burst onto the scene.”
Inter, who finished in sixth place in Serie A, 26 points behind champions Juventus, is currently taking on a post-season tour in Indonesia.
