PJ party accepts Moyano’s resignation, sets internal elections for March 2013

The head of the Justicialist Party and Buenos Aires governor Daniel Scioli gave a press conference in which he announced a series of decisions made after the meeting of the Party’s National Council, such as picking next March 31st as the day to hold the internal elections, the drafting of a document expressing support for President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner and the creation of a political action committee.
Scioli, alongside Chaco governor Jorge Capitanich, confirmed that they accepted the resignations from both Councilmen Hugo Moyano and Julio Piumato.”
Earlier, the Justicialist Party (PJ) held a meeting today at their headquarters, located in the heart of Balvanera neighbourhood in the city of Buenos Aires. National governors, members of government and union leaders fix a date upcoming elections within the party, as well as discussing other issues.

The meeting began at 6 pm, where national governors, members of government and union leaders attended in order to discuss the upcoming elections, as the current term expires next month and further express their “explicit support” of Fernández de Kirchner’s government.
“The expected result of the meeting is to maintain that the party is run properly, in particular looking toward the June 5 elections,” lawmaker for the Victory Front party, José María Díaz Bancalari stated.
