Merkel calls Hollande to work together for the good of Europe

Germany’s Chancellor Angela Merkel came on stage today to congratulate France’s elected-President François Hollande, and remind him that their countries should take all necessary decisions in order to solve the Eurozone’s debt crisis.
“It’s up to our two nations to take the necessary measures to set the road for a future of prosperity for societies within the European Union and Eurozone”, said Merkel in an official communiqué sent to Hollande.
Likewise, the German leader congratulated the French Socialist: “I’d like to send you my sincere congratulations. In a moment of great challenges, now you will assume a post full of responsibilities. I’m glad to be by your side in a time that we must take common responsibilities for the good of Europe.””
Hollande and Merkel will meet ton May 16 to exchange their different visions on European economic policies, and on how to face the current crisis of capitalism.
Thus, the newly elected President of France bets on renegotiate the European fiscal pact that was promoted by Germany and already signed by 25 countries, as Hollande would like to add some growth stimulus measures.
