‘Ephedrine king’ sentenced to 9 years in prison

Mario Segovia, also known as the “ephedrine king,” was sentenced to nine years in prison accused of smuggling to Mexico almost 300 kilos of ephedrine in 12 tons of sugar to elaborate illegal synthetic drugs.
The court announced the by the end of the trial for “aggravated simple smuggling for using fake customs’ documentation, intervention of three or more people and for being detrimental for health.”
