AFIP tax revenue agency Ricardo Etchegaray assured that Vice-President Amado Boudou did not intervene in the lifting of the bankruptcy plan of Ciccone Calcográfica, a printing firm which used to provide supplies for passports.
“Ciccone Calcográfica SA requested the lifting of the bankruptcy. It was not the then Economy Minister and Current Vice-president who requested it,” Etchegaray stated during a press conference held at AFIP headquarters.
The AFIP head made his statements following media reports that indicated the existence of a letter in which Boudou interceded on Ciccone’s behalf before AFIP, requesting the company’s bankruptcy was lifted.
Etchegaray stressed the fact that it was not AFIP who lifted the settlement plans, but «Judge Cosentino did so on September 2rd, 2010.”
