A group of Villa 31 shanty-town residents lifted the 12 hour roadblock they had staged in Castillo street and the access to the Illia highway. They will meet on Monday with City’s Government Secretary in order to negotiate two school buses to take their children to nearby kindergartens.
The roadblock on Castillo street was staged at 10 am and lifted shortly before 10 pm, following negotiations between Security Secretary Sergio Berni, who took office earlier today, City Education officers and the residents who staged the roadblock.
City Education Minister Esteban Bullrich blasted Security Minister Nilda Garré and assured the «City’s security and order depend on the Federal Police.»
Due to the roadblock, trucks, buses and taxis had to deviate from their usual routes and thus caused important delays in traffic.
