More bumps arise on Subway transfer road

After President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner announced she will send a bill to Congress to ratify the agreement between the national and City governments regarding the transfer of the subway service, BA City Cabinet Chief Horacio Rodríguez Larreta counter attacked saying the transfer also depends on the approval of the City Legislature.

“In order to move forward with the transfer, approval must be granted at both Congress and City Legislature. It’s a two parties deal, and not a oneway decision.”

Thus, coming to a final agreement between the two administrations seems far away from possible as the Kirchnerism has filed a lawsuit against to Mauricio Macri’s administration urging it take over the subway service, and holds majority in both houses of Congress, while the right-wing PRO party of City Mayor Mauricio Macri holds majority in the City Legislature.
