Security Minister Nilda Garré assured that City Mayor Mauricio Macri uses excuses and that the withdrawal of Federal Police officers is no serious argument, because 250 officers are easily manageable for any person with administration skills.”
Following President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner’s speech during the opening of the ordinary sessions of Congress, Garré said she would immediately implement the return of Federal Police officers to guard subway stations.
When asked if the return of the police officers could be implemented immediately, the Security Minister assured that “our administration works faster than Macri’s. When a person runs for office, he must be willing to be courageous and run the risks of an administration.”
Regarding the transportation system, which has been under fire since last week’s Once train crash and with the dispute over the subway service transfer, Garré admitted that “all of our transportation systems must be improved, the rest is a challenge for our administration to change the situation we have inherited so that people can travel safely.”
