Deputy mayor for the City of Buenos Aires, María Vidal.
Buenos Aires City Deputy Mayor María Eugenia Vidal came on stage today to express concerns on behalf of the City Government over the proceedings after the train crash at Once station last week that killed 51 and injured over 700, stating that those responsible “should be clarified quickly.”
Vidal reiterated points made by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner in her speech yesterday evening, by asking that judicial authorities determine the cause of the crash swiftly and that the crash “doesn’t go unpunished.”
The deputy mayor also enforced that “even after what comes of the judicial investigation, investment in public transport is something that cannot wait.”
