Juan Martín del Potro, one of the forces at the forefront of Argentine tennis, won against Serbian Victor Troicki by 6-0 and 6-1 in just under an hour during their quarter-final match at the ATP world tour taking place in Rotterdam.
Del Potro will play tomorrow in one of the semifinal matches against Czech Toms Berdych who defeated Italian Andreas Seppi by 6-3 and 6-4.
Del Potro, number 10 in the ATP world ranking, played against Troicki earlier today, who he beat the last four times they played against one another. The previous times they faced one another was in the Washington final in 2008, and in Auckland, Rome and Roland Garros, all in 2009.
The tennis star from Tandil powered through to the quarter final in Rotterdam after beating France’s Michael Llodrá and Slovenia’s Karol Beck.
