Union warns medicine shortage due to imports control

Biochemist and Chemist Union secretary-general Marcelo Peretta warned that the import controls are leading to a shortage of medicine in pharmacies.
The union leader stated that “there is a list of medicine that replace those that are lacking so that people don’t have to stop the treatment. It is an alternative list of national industry meds.”
Some of the products that registered a shortage in the pharmacies are Buscapina, Rivotril, Bactrim, Reliverán, according to the commercial trademarks.
Peretta also warned over the lack of drugs for the medicine production, and stated that there is a “stock for 30 or 60 days” of onchologic, HIV treatment medicines, because these kind of products “do not have a national alternative.”
