Brazil: another minister quits amid corruption allegations

Negromonte is the ninth minister to leave Rousseff»s government.
In yet another political blow to President Dilma Rousseff’s government, Cities Minister Mario Negromonte handed his resignation today.

Since the president was sworn in, seven ministers succumbed to the media pressure after corruption allegations surfaced. Other two ministers left the government for other unrelated reasons.

The Government House announced congressman Aguinaldo Ribeiro is to replace Negromonte who returns to the Congress to fulfill what is left of his term as a lawmaker.
