Growing tension outside Ezeiza airport as Gendarmerie officers try to evict protestors

Outsourced workers who provide cleaning and security services at Ezeiza international airport are staging a roadblock protesting against “poor working conditions”, thus preventing passengers from entering the airport premises. Gendarmerie officers were arriving at the area to evict the demonstrators.
The protests continue today though yesterday the Labour Ministry ruled compulsory conciliation. Employees reported “exploitation, mistreatment and starvation wages.”
Protestors, who were also demanding to be transferred to an aviation union, had also set a roadblock yesterday that prevented passengers from entering the Ministro Pistarini International Airport for 90 minutes.
