New meeting being held at Labour Ministry over teamsters’ union conflict

SICHOCA teamsters´ union head Pablo Moyano being addressed by the press.
Amid the crossfire between the national truck drivers’ union and the Government, union representatives, Government members and businessmen were again brought together for a meeting today at the Labour Ministry, in a new attempt to try to find a way to end the current conflict between the SICHOCA teamsters’ union and Camuzzi Gas Company.
Meanwhile, earlier today the head of the SICHOCA union Pablo Moyano threw fiery comments toward the national administration and assured that his and his father’s reputation are going downhill.
He stated that his surname has converted “into a bad word” for the national Government and accused “some government members” to have encouraged privatization policies and unemployment during the 90s.
“Moyano has converted into a bad word for this government. The deputy governor (Gabriel Mariotto) and other national ministers have stepped out to criticize us. Also many of them throughout the 90s encouraged the administration under Menem,” he complained.
During a radio interview today, Pablo Moyano again made it evident that the relationship between the CGT umbrella union led by his father, and the Kirchnerite government was distant, after having maintained an alliance without any major hiccups over the past eight years.
