Susana Freydoz was charged with the first degree murder of her husband, former Río Negro Governor Carlos Soria by General Roca judge Emilio Stadler, who leads the investigation into the governor’s death, judicial sources informed. Soria was shot dead on January 1 this year.
Freydoz was told of the charges brought against her yesterday by the judge himself, after she outwardly refused to give a declaration at the General Roca courthouse, under strict advice from her lawyer Alberto Ricchieri.
As of Wednesday this week Stadler was granted a period of ten days to decide on how the former Río Negro governor’s wife’s case will be processed. Freydoz was not granted preventative custody, but was remaining under police supervision, unable to leave her sister’s house located in the town of Allen.
