Argentine soy prices higher on drought, Chicago

BUENOS AIRES: Argentina’s closingsoy prices and trends on Monday:

* Soy prices in Rosario ended at between 1,275 and 1,320pesos per tonne ($295-$306) versus 1,280 pesos in the priorsession, bolstered by concerns about dry crop weather and gainsat the Chicago Board of Trade, traders said.

* Volume rose to between 20,000 tonnes and 30,000 tonnesfrom 5,000 to 7,000 tonnes on Friday.

* Chicago Board of Trade soybean futures closed higher onMonday on hot and dry weather in Argentina that was trimmingcrop prospects.

* In Rosario, soybeans for May delivery, priced in USdollars, closed between $290 and $295 per tonne compared with$290 on Friday.
