Judge Juan José Luccini ruled the indictment and ordered protective custody for Adalberto Cuello, who is the main suspect of the murder of nine year old Tomás Santillán, which took place the locality of Lincoln.
Prosecutor Javier Ochaizpuro had requested protective custody, who stressed on the evidence against Cuello collected during the investigation and in the results of the psychiatric tests run on the suspect.
Luccini charged Cuello, Tomás’s stepfather, with “aggravated manslaughter.” The judge rejected the issues brought up by Cuello’s lawyer over alleged perjury and concealment by some witnesses.
Cuello will continue to spend his days in prison in the city of Junín.
His former stepson, Tomás Santillán was found dead in a field in the outskirts of Lincon, on November 15th, two days after he went missing.
Prosecutor Ochaizpuro had requested protective for Cuello on December 16th as he considers him the perpetrator of the crime of the son of his former partner, with whom he has an infant son.
