Godoy Cruz leave Racing, Independiente, Tigre out of Libertadores 2012

Godoy Cruz defeated Atlético Rafaela 2-0 in the last round of the Apertura Tournament and achieved the last ticket to the Libertadores Cup 2012, leaving Racing, Independiente and Tigre withoout the chance of playing the Cup. Vélez defeated Racing 1-0, while Independiente won 2-1 over Tigre.

Godoy Cruz (55) defeated Atlético Rafaela 2-0 after Ariel Rojas headed the first goal at 40′ of the first half, and Rubén Ramírez scored the second one at 27′ of the second half.

The team from Mendoza achieved the Libertadores Cup along with Vélez Sársfield, Boca, Lanús and Arsenal, who will have to play the play-offs.
