Reelected governor of San Juan José Luis Gioja sworn in this morning in the Andean province. Meanwhile, in the Northeastern province of Formosa Gildo Insfran assumed his fifth term as provincial governor after swearing at the local Lower House.
In San Juan, an emotional Gioja asked for “a minute of applause and not a minute of silence in the memory of former president Néstor Carlos Kirchner, the creator of the project of country we dreamed about.”
Afterwards, Gioja took a moment to remember Kirchner as a “stubborn, brave and spirited skinny-boy that took the Government House and had the same project as our own,» and considered that the former president was “one of the best presidents this country ever had.”
Gioja, visibly moved, swore his third term at the provincial legislature “by God, the Fatherland and the Holy Gospels to play with loyalty and patriotism the office to which I was elected by the people of San Juan».
Meanwhile, Insfrán swore-in at Formosa’s Lower House accompanied by Deputy Governor Floro Bogado. The latter was in charge of swearing in the new 15 local lawmakers (12 Peronists, and three of the Radical Civic Union).
