Local children go to school, whilst the Tungurahua volcano spews ashes and fumaroles, in Cotalo, Ecuador, on November Authorities in Ecuador upgraded today an eruption warning for the Tungurahua volcano, on the eve of a possible eruption. The warning was upgraded from yellow to orange when volcanic activity was seen to have risen suddenly.
The volcano was spewing ash and smoke over the past few days, causing concern for a full eruption.
Tungurahua is known to be one of the most active volcanoes in South America.
