CGT labour confederation leader Hugo Moyano warned that the next salary discussion will be based on the “supermarket inflation index” instead of the INDEC’s (the national statistics agency), and assured that the umbrella union will “keep defending workers until there’s social justice for everyone.”
After President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner said, for the very first time in her administration, that it was time to have “a serious conversation” about inflation, Moyano also referred to the recent price hikes. This is not, however, the first time that he addresses public concerns on the matter.
“Social justice means having a decent job, a decent salary, and a decent home, and we still don’t have that,” he warned.
He did, however, promise not to add any bumps in the road for the National Government.
