Voters will go to polling stations in the province San Luis to appoint mayors and councillors, marking the last election of the year following an extremely busy year with the general elections, gubernatorial and mayoral elections across the country.
Voters will choose local representatives in San Salvador de Jujuy and Merlo, San Luis, while complementary elections will take place in Caimancito and Abra Pampa following allegations of fraud in provincial elections in October.
In Jujuy more than 172,000 people will vote in a mayor in the capital and six city councillors in over 549 polling stations. The incumbent Radical mayor, Raúl Jorge, is seeking re-election and will fend off competition from, among others, the Kirchnerite Pedro Segura and Daniel Rivero representing the New Left.
