Guillermo Santillán, the uncle of slain nine-year-old Tomás Santillán, said that “all clues point to the same person”, and added that the case may be solved shortly upon results of tests ran by experts.
Santillán also said that his sister and mother of the child, Leonor Susana Santillán, “is living in the house of one of my sisters in a nearby town as journalists were chasing her everywhere. Hence, we preferred to put her in a safe place and not say where she is located.”
The victim’s uncle also added that his sister “hurt as any mother who lost a son but she’s is a bit better now, and even allowed herself to break a smile if someone makes a joke.”
Santillán also reported that “Leonor is with permanent psychological support as well police custody.”
