High number of BA province public schools go on strike

A high number of public schools in the Buenos Aires province joined the main teachers’ unions on the strike they staged on Monday, affecting classes in private schools as well

“Over 95 percent of public schools in the Greater Buenos Aires area and the rest of the province took part in the strike,” teachers’ unions assured.
According to them, a 98 percent of teachers went on strike in cities such as Villa Gesell, Zárate, Campana, José C. Paz, Malvinas Argentinas, San Miguel, Capitán Sarmiento, Arenales, Ameghino, Junín, General Belgrano and Salto.
In other cities, such as Malvinas Argentinas, Pellegrini, Baradero, Pergamino, General Villegas, Miramar, General Alvear, General Rodríguez, Saladillo, Lincoln and San Cayetano, a 95 percent of teachers joined.
