Foreign Ministry candidate appointed as Ambassador to Brazil

Foreign Ministry’s Trade and Economic Affairs secretary Luis María Kreckler, who was a strong candidate to be the Foreign Minister in the next presidential cabinet, was appointed as Argentina’s Ambassador to Brazil.

It was officially announced that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner “has requested for the approval” to Ambassador Luis María Kreckler and it “was immediately accepted by the Brazilian government.”

Kreckler is a career diplomat and has worked in the economic department of the Foreign Ministry during the administration of Néstor Kirchner and Fernández de Kirchner.
