Vélez beat Estudiantes 1-0

Vélez Sarsfield beat Estudiantes 1-0 yesterday at the José Amalfitani stadium to get closer to Apertura tournament’s leaders Boca Juniors.
The winner was scored by David Ramírez in the 6th minute. With this result, Vélez earn 20 points, five behind Boca, who were facing Colón late yesterday in another match of the 12th round.
In the other match — where both rivals are trying to escape from the relegation zone — Arsenal defeated San Lorenzo 1-0 on goal from former San Lorenzo’s player Adrián González in the 79th minute.
Meanwhile, Atlético of Rafaela are three points from Boca after defeating Argentinos Juniors 3-1 in the Nuevo Monumental stadium.
