Flooding in Santa Fe causes evacuation of homes

After a day of torrential rain and strong winds yesterday, many northern neighbourhoods of Santa Fe capital experienced flooding, after 240 millimetres of precipitation fell causing twenty families to be evacuated from their homes.
The rain began at around 5 pm yesterday afternoon and continued overnight caused almost immediate flooding in the city streets, homes and also causing power cuts.
The worst affected areas include: La Ranita, Yapeyú, Nueva Tablada and Marcos Bobbio neighbourhoods, Porta stated.
