President of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), José De Mendiguren, rejected this morning the possibility of implementing a dual exchange rate scheme, while also expressing that the Government should seek to better competiveness in the economy.
“We don’t agree with the possibility of implementing a dual exchange rate scheme,” sustained the UIA head, aiming his statements toward the Economy Ministry, who also rejected the idea.
During a radio interview, De Mendiguren made it clear that that kind of change would be “an additional instrument to economic policy.”
The UIA head furthered that “work needs to be done in the systematic competiveness of the economy.”
