Industry increased 6.7 percent in August, in comparison to the same month of 2010, UIA Argentine Industrial Union announced.
In comparison to the volume registered in July, the increase was of 2.5 percent. With this result, the industrial activity accumulated a 8.7 hike in the first eight months of the year, while according to the National Statistics Bureau, the increase was of 8.3 percent.
“The industrial activity keeps displaying uneven growth rates. Without taking into account the automobile industry’s input, the year on year expansion was of 4.5 percent, thus accumulating a 6 percent variation in the first eight months of the year,” the report stated.
