Sobrero asks Judiciary to investigate Gov’t over Sarmiento train fires

Just days after being released from prison after being charged with involvement in the incidents that saw various Sarmiento trains set alight in May, railway union leader Rubén “Pollo” Sobrero reinstated his claim to “speak against the sub secretary (of Rail) Antonio Luna, who is responsible” for deteriorating the train service, it was reported.

Sobrero challenged officials to “continue the investigation” and that if they had the guts to do so, that he would make himself available “24-7”. The railway union leader, still fuming from his ordeal stated that, “it’s easy to put a working man in prison,” further questioning whether prosecutors would be able to “handle going against the Government.”

The militant leader insisted that reason why he was arrested and then freed a few days later was because the whole thing was a “setup” and that “Judge Manuel Yalj is being used.”
