Poor weather conditions in the capital were causing delays in air traffic going out of Aeroparque Metropolitan Airport in Buenos Aires this morning.
According to information published on the Argentine Airport website, there are at least nine flights which have been delayed this morning due to the rainstorms and one Austral flight cancelled, destined to land in Mar del Plata.
In addition to delays at the airports, setbacks were seen along the national highway routes, with the National Highway Security Agency warning drivers to take “further security precautions whilst driving” due to the heavy rain across the city and surrounding areas.
Meanwhile, the National Meteorological Service (SMN) maintained a weather warning for heavy storms and hail throughout the day and for tomorrow extending across different parts of the country. Affected areas include: the northern part of Buenos Aires province, the southern parts of Córdoba and Corriented provinces, Entre Ríos, Santa Fé, the south eastern area of Santiago del Estero and Río de la Plata.
