The Gross Domestic Product (GDP) climbed 9.1 percent in the second quarter year-on-year, and 2.5 percent against the period from January to March, according to the Indec national statistics bureau.
The private consumption grew 11.5 percent in the second trimester compared to the same period last year, and the country’s economy accumulated a 9.5 percent increase in the first semester.
“The goods producers’ sector registered a 6.7 percent increase, while the services producers’ sector climbed 9.7 percent,” Indec stated.
The economy had grown 9.9 percent during the first quarter of the year, compared to volume registered in 2010.
