The Social Development Union’s (UDESO) candidate for Buenos Aires province governor, Francisco De Narváez deemed public security policies to be “a complete failure” in the area of Buenos Aires province, whilst harshly criticising incumbent province Governor Daniel Scioli, for the way he handled the crime investigation into the whereabouts of Candela Rodríguez.
“It’s obvious that the public security policies are a complete failure. The province government is making it out to be a revenge case rather than a case of insecurity. Clearly this was a case of insecurity,” furthered De Narváez.
During a radio interview the candidate for governor remarked that “there is no politican decision-making” to combat insecurity, furthering that, “Scioli went on holiday after the girl had been kidnapped; this shows that we are committing a great irresponsibility to the nation.”
“They (in reference to young criminals) are organised and we are not, and there is no clear way to organise the Province of Buenos Aires, so that they take action against insecurity,” he said.
