Minister Randazzo presents ‘express passport’ system

Interior Minister, Florencio Randazzo, announced on Wednesday the addition of a new express passport delivery system ($630 pesos fee) that will enable users to get their passports within 48 hours instead of the 15-day ordinary process.

After today’s newspapers included a large single-page government’s ad promoting the new service, the minister made the official launching at the Government’s House.

Anyway, the ad led to confusion as it says that the new service can be obtained by paying “an extra differential fee of 500 pesos”, to what Randazzo had to clarify “The cost is the 130 pesos one pay for regular passport service, plus an extra fee of 500 pesos for the ‘express service’, making a total of $630 pesos.”

Likewise, the minister explained that in case of humanitarian or health emergency cases, the $500 extra fee for express delivery will not be charged.

The new service can be acquired by calling the Express Passport line (011-4360-7859), while the payment can be done with credit card or via internet at the Banco Provincia’s web site (www.provinciapagos.com.ar).
