.S&P breaks June 21 intraday high

NEW YORK (Reuters) – Wall Street opened up on Friday, with the S&P 500 (.SPX) breaking through its June 21 intraday high as solid reports from technology bellwethers Oracle (ORCL.O) and Research in Motion (RIM.TO)(RIMM.O) led gains.

The Dow Jones industrial average (.DJI) was up 46.78 points, or 0.44 percent, at 10,641.61. The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index (.SPX) rose 6.23 points, or 0.55 percent, at 1,130.89. The Nasdaq Composite Index (.IXIC) jumped 14.92 points, or 0.65 percent, at 2,318.17.
