‘Blue’ dollar jumps to 13.59 pesos

The “blue” parallel dollar rate today jumped 16 cents to 13.59 pesos in underground houses, ámbito.com reported.

Yesterday, the blue dollar fell as the offer of greenbacks surged.

Dollar purchases for saving purposes reached 258.9 billon dollars in the first four days of July, 54.8 percent above what AFIP tax bureau had registered the previous month.

The official dollar rate meanwhile closed half a cent higher at 9.125 pesos in banks and foreign exchange agencies. The Central Bank bought 20 million dollars on the market thanks a higher liquidity, after being forced to sell 10 million during yesterday’s trading.
