Tax revenue reaches ‘overwhelming’ record in June, says AFIP

The AFIP bureau has revealed tax revenue registered a year-to-year growth of 39.2 percent in June, reaching a record 140.838 billion pesos.
“The amount is overwhelming,” AFIP head Ricardo Echegaray said during a press conference held together with Treasury Secretary Juan Carlos Pezoa.
This way, 2015’s tax revenue reaches 721.052 billion pesos, a 31% increase compared to the one registered in 2014.
Income tax revenue reached 43.050 billion pesos, a 47% year-to-year increase, while Value Added Tax (IVA) reached 34.052 billion pesos (a 34.2% increase) and revenue form export right reached 10.412 billion pesos (21.8% growth).
Employer pension contributions increased 36.3% in June compared to the same month last year, reaching 17.888 billion pesos.
