The «blue» parallel dollar climbed 15 cents today to close at 13.55 pesos in underground houses. Yesterday it had jumped 11 cents, amid higher demand and increases in the blue chip swap rate and the stock exchange rate.
The «blue» finished June with a 75-cent hike, the highest monthly increase since September 2014, when it grew 1.65 pesos (11.7 percent).
Today, the blue chip swap rate traded 24 cents up to reach an eight-month record at 13.38 pesos, while the stock exchange rate traded 28 cents up at 13.30 pesos, its highest value since November 2014.
Meanwhile, the US dollar ended half a cent higher today at 9.105 pesos in banks and foreign exchange agencies. The Central Bank intervened in the market selling 20 million dollars.
