US dollar up at 9.02 pesos; ‘blue’ higher at 12,66 pesos

The US dollar closed half a cent up today at banks and foreign exchange agencies of the city at 9.02 pesos, while the «blue» informal dollar rate rose one cent to 12.66 pesos in underground houses, according to ambito.com.

The AFIP tax bureau has sold 135.6 million dollars through the dollars for savings scheme during the first three days of June, lowering demand for the parallel rate.

The gap between the retail price and the parallel rate reached 40.3 percent.

In the meantime, the blue chip swap rate dropped five cents to 11.67 pesos and the stock exchange rate traded steady at 11.48 pesos. The Central Bank added 10 million dollars to its international reserves.
