The so called «blue» dollar that trades in the illegal market dropped six cents to close at 12.64 pesos today.
Meanwhile, in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices, the official rate of the American currency ended half a cent higher at 8.975 pesos.
This way, the gap between the official and the parallel rates stands at 40.8 percent.
In addition, the blue chip climbed closed steady at 11.83 pesos, and the dollar exchange rate ended four cents up at 11.62 pesos, and the Central Bank sold 20 million dollars in an attempt to balance the low amount of dollars sold by agro exports.
