The US dollar traded unchanged and closed at $8.95 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices.
Meanwhile, the so called “blue” dollar jumped six cents to close at $12.59 pesos. This way, the gap between the official and the parallel rates stands at 40.7 percent.
Yesterday, greenbacks in the informal market cut a period of three consecutive falls in a day marked by strikes in the banking sector.
In addition, the blue-chip swap rate traded up one cent and closed at $11.97 pesos while the stock exchange rate gained one cent and closed at $11.72 pesos.
The Central Bank (BCRA) bought 45 million dollars today and 255 million in the last six trading sessions.
