The board of medical experts investigating the cause of the death of Alberto Nisman will be resuming its work today at 2 pm, following the collection and analysis of filmic and photographic evidence in the case.
AMIA special prosecutor Alberto Nisman was found dead in his Buenos Aires City home under mysterious circumstances, in his apartment’s bathroom showing a gunshot wound in his head.
Official experts and a team of forensic analysts hired by the plaintiff have carried out separate tests reaching different conclusions about the time the victim died. They have also failed to agree on whether Nisman committed suicide or was killed.
The plaintiff led by Nisman’s ex wife and mother of his two daughters, Judge Sandra Arroyo Salgado, held a press conference to announce the results of the forensic report in which she affirmed the late prosecutor was “murdered.”
The board shaped up of 12 medical experts will be meeting this afternoon after analyzing during a week the videos of the autopsy and the place where the victim’s body was found (the apartment’s bathroom), along with 1,400 photographs taken by forensic investigators. They are expected to debate on 24 key points that have been decided by the prosecutor’s office commanded by Viviana Fein.
