After a slight climb in early trade, the so called “blue” dollar traded today at 12.52 pesos, 10 cents higher than Monday’s closing mark.
Meanwhile, the American currency ended unchanged at 8.87 pesos in Buenos Aires City Banks and foreign exchange offices.
On Monday, greenbacks climbed one cent amid Central Bank controls to avoid shocks in the foreign currency market. The entity was again active in the markets, buying up 40 million dollars to bolster international currency reserves.
The official rate of the dollar has reached so far in April a hike of three cents or 4 percent.
