Prosecutor Leonel Gómez Barbella today requested the Federal Court to dismiss judge Julián Ercolini’s ruling who rejected calling the directors of Clarín Ernestina Herrera de Noble and Héctor Magnetto, and La Nación’s director Bartolomé Mitre, to give testimony in the Papel Prensa probe.
The three of them, among other former government officials are accused of the alleged illegal acquisition of Papel Prensa printing company during Argentina’s last dictactorship.
As C5N news network informed this morning, Federal Courtroom I, formed by the same justices who last week dismissed late Alberto Nisman’s accusation against the president, will now hear Barbella’s request.
