The informal rate of the US currency, the so-called «blue» dollar, climbed eight cents to close at 12.96 pesos today.
Meanwhile, the US dollar traded half a cent up to close at 8.805 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices.
The blue chip swap rate jumped 19 cents to 12.14 pesos while the stock exchange traded at 12.10 pesos.
The Central Bank sold u$s 30 million to prevent the rate of the US currency from hiking. Yesterday, it sold another 40 million dollars.
