US dollar climbs half a cent to 8.79 pesos, ‘blue’ rises after two weeks

The US currency closed up half a cent at 8.79 pesos in Buenos Aires City banks and foreign exchange offices, already hitting a 5-cent climb so far this month.
Meanwhile, the so called “blue” dollar rose six cents, to sell at 12.82 pesos. The climb cut short a run of two weeks in decline for the parallel currency.
The gap between the official and the informal rates was at 45.6 percent.
