Scioli praises his administration at inauguration of 143th legislative period

Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli inaugurated the 143th legislative period at the Lower House of the provincial Legislature today.

“Whoever succeeds me will receive a province out of red, with fiscal balance, vigourous, with social inclusion,” he said in a speech before lawmakers and Deputy Governor Gabriel Mariotto. “Buenos Aires province is still viable within the national project,” the governor added.

Scioli celebrated the collective wage deal reached with Buenos Aires teachers, allowing classes to start in most schools in the province. He praised Mariotto and other officials: “This achievements were only possible because of the laws you facilitated,” he told them.

The governor also remembered late ex president Néstor Kirchner and said that president Cristina Fernández de Kirchner “continues to lead with strength and courage the changes that transform Argentina.”

“What once was abandonment, apathy is now a motive for pride in the Province,” Scioli said.
